Duvar Gazetesi formatında on iki büyük panodan oluşan sergi, 1990’larda Hamburg ve çevresinde yaşayan göçmenler, mülteciler ve göçmen gençlerin ırkçılık karşıtı öz örgütlü direniş hikayelerini anlatıyor.
Hamburglu sosyolog ve aktivist Gürsel Yıldırım tarafından Duvar Gazetesi formatında tasarlanan sergi, Mölln (1992), Solingen (1993) ve Lübeck’te (1996) gerçekleşen ırkçı saldırılara reaksiyon olarak göçmenlerin düzenlediği protestoları, mültecilerin oturum hakkı için ve zorunlu dağıtımlarına karşı verdikleri mücadeleleri, ayrıca ırkçı cinayetlerin ardından yaşanan inkar ve unutturma politikalarına karşı göçmenlerin mücadelelerini belgeliyor. “Güncelliğini kaybetmeyen bu sergi, politik özneler olarak hareket eden göçmenlerin ve mültecilerin toplumdaki yerlerini talep eden direnişleriyle ilgili” diyor Gürsel Yıldırım.
Sergi, Gürsel Yıldırım’ın 1990’lı yıllarda arşivlediği materyallere dayanıyor. Bu materyallar, göçmenlerin ve mültecilerin öz örgütlü ırkçılık karşıtı protesto gösterilerinin, miting ve grevlerinin fotoğraflarını içermektedir. Sergi siyah-beyaz ve renkli fotoğraflarla birlikte, 1990’lı yılların bildirileri, afişleri ve protestolarla ilgili gazete makalelerini içermektedir.
Göçmenlerin ve mültecilerin ırkçılık karşıtı ve anti-faşist mücadele tarihine ışık tutan sergi, 18., 19., 20 Eylül 2026 tarihlerinde, 10:00–16:00 saatleri arasında ziyaret edilebilir.

Serginin küratörü Gürsel Yıldırım’la bir araya gelerek, serginin içeriği üzerine sohbet edeceğiz.. 1990’lı yılların direniş hikayelerinden bügün için neler öğrenebiliriz konusunda fikir alışverişinde bulunma/tartışma fırsatımız olacağı için mutluluk duyuyoruz.
“90’lı yıllarda Hamburg’da Göçmen Direnişi” adlı gezici sergi, Kampnagel Uluslararası Sanat Fabrikası (Hamburg) ile iş birliği içinde hazırlanmıştır ve Hür ve Hansa Kenti Hamburg tarafından “CESARETLI KENT” adlı inisiyatif çerçevesinde desteklenmektedir.
*Sergi, çeşitli dillere çevrilmiştir. Çeviriler, İngilizce, Fransızca, İspanyolca, Farsça, Arapça, Rusça, Ukraynaca ve Türkçe dillerinde sergi alanında (Uni Wien) bulunacaktır..

The travelling exhibition “Migrant Resistance in Hamburg in the 1990s” tells anti-racist and anti-fascist stories of migrants, refugees and young people who were active in the Hamburg area and beyond during the 1990s. Conceived as a wall newspaper by the Hamburg-based sociologist and activist Gürsel Yıldırım, the exhibition documents, amongst other things, the protests by migrants following the racist arson attacks in Mölln (1992), Solingen (1993) and Lübeck (1996), the struggles of refugees against forced relocation and for the right to remain, as well as struggles over the politics of remembrance in the wake of racist murders.
The exhibition’s twelve display panels are based on material collected over many years by Gürsel Yıldırım: photographs of demonstrations and rallies, and strikes by migrants and refugees. They feature leaflets, posters and newspaper articles. “This exhibition, which has lost none of its relevance, deals with forms of resistance by migrants and refugees who act as political agents and demand their place in society. ...” says Yıldırım. “Even today I am concerned with the resistance of people who, as political subjects, demand their place in society.” (G.Y)
The exhibition has been shown on numerous occasions and can now be viewed as part of the conference / symposium from 18–20 September 2026 between 10.00 and 16.00.

Event on 20 September 2026: We are very much looking forward to speaking in person with the curator, Gürsel Yıldırım, on 20 September 2026 about the background to the exhibition. Among other things, the discussion will focus on what we can learn from the self-organised forms of resistance of that time for today’s struggles.
